The gallery was founded in Antwerp in 1991 and moved to Knokke in 1994. In 2013, a second gallery space was opened, overlooking the North Sea. The program is built around established contemporary art with a focus on abstract painting. Over the past three decades, the gallery has staged numerous solo shows with relevant artists present on the international scene including Alan Charlton, Günther Förg, Bernard Frize, Imi Knoebel, Julian Opie, Dan Walsh, Terry Winters and Heimo Zobernig. The number of solo exhibitions varies around five a year. Furthermore, the gallery has also been active in the secondary market, specifically focusing on colour field painting, minimalism and conceptual art. The gallery has been participating at a number of art fairs such as ARCO Madrid, Art Forum Berlin, Art Brussels, BRAFA Art Fair and FIAC Paris.
