Arte-Fact Fine Art op BRAFA 2026 Vergeten Verhalen – Een eerbetoon aan verbindingen
Vergeten Verhalen neemt bezoekers mee op een reis door Europa: van de glorie van de Nederlandse Gouden Eeuw, via de artistieke schittering van Antwerpen en de pracht van het Brusselse hof, tot de creatieve uitwisselingen met Spanje en Italië. Een bijzondere rode draad in de presentatie eert vrouwelijke stemmen en toont hen niet als randfiguren, maar als vaak vergeten schakels in het verhaal van artistieke creatie.
“Schilderijen van oude meesters bezitten een magie die verder gaat dan hun schoonheid; ze fluisteren vergeten verhalen en tijdloze inspiratie. Voor de bezoekers van BRAFA hopen we een brug door de tijd te slaan, die hen
verbindt met de kunstenaars en verhalen van vervlogen eeuwen,” zegt galerieoprichter Claudia Walendy.

BRAFA Art Fair is delighted to spotlight Arte-Fact Fine Art, a new exhibitor whose expertise and scholarship bring fresh depth to the world of Old Master paintings.
Specialised in works from the 16th to the 18th century, Arte-Fact Fine Art combines connoisseurship with rigorous research, guiding collectors through the interconnected histories of artists, patrons, courts, and cultures. Their approach embraces not only the market but the full ecosystem of attribution, provenance, conservation, and interdisciplinary study.
For BRAFA 2026, the gallery presents Forgotten Stories — a compelling journey across Europe’s artistic centres - from the glory of the Dutch Golden Age, through the artistic flourishing of Antwerp and the court of Brussels, to the creative exchanges with Spain and Italy.
A special focus is dedicated to female voices in art history — as essential contributors whose impact continues to resonate.

Arte-Fact Fine Art focust zich op schilderijen van Oude Meesters uit de 16de tot de 18de eeuw. Door kennis van de kunstmarkt te combineren met een diepgewortelde toewijding aan onderzoek, biedt de galerie verzamelaars advies op verschillende vlakken. Via archief-, kunsthistorisch, technisch en iconografisch onderzoek wordt elk schilderij zorgvuldig bestudeerd in samenwerking met restauratoren, wetenschappers en academici. Dit onderzoeksgerichte proces is erop gericht niet alleen de schoonheid van een kunstwerk te behouden, maar ook de lagen van betekenis, context en samenhang te onthullen, een fundamentele pijler van de galerie. Sinds haar oprichting heeft Arte-Fact Fine Art meer dan 500 werken behandeld, waarvan verschillende hun weg hebben gevonden naar belangrijke museumcollecties.
