BRAFA unveils Life of an Object - a Magician Book's journey
BRAFA returns to Brussels Expo from 25 January to 1 February 2026.
With our new video series Life of Objects, we explore the extraordinary journeys of artworks presented by our exhibitors.
This first episode is devoted to The Magician Book, a remarkable liber amicorum unveiled at BRAFA 2025 by Artimo Fine Arts. Concealing a hidden automaton, the book invites its reader to ask life’s most profound question. The magician’s answer? “To be loved.”
The Magician Book was acquired by the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva, now on permanent display as part of the world’s largest and finest collection of timepieces. It is in a way, a return home since this rare object shows a balustrade overlooking Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc and carries the names of Geneva’s own jewellers and goldsmiths.
Stay tuned for the upcoming episodes of Life of Objects, unveiling the hidden journeys of artworks that make BRAFA such a unique encounter between history, beauty, and passion.
