Stern Pissarro Gallery-Press release

London-based Stern Pissarro Gallery is returning to BRAFA with an exciting selection of works. The centrepiece of the stand is the monumental painting, Pénélope by Paul Delvaux, executed in 1946. Fresh-to-the-market, it carries all the elements one would find in a top work by Delvaux and is considered a masterpiece by the renowned Belgium Surrealist. Other highlights on the stand include a fine group of works by Chagall, and an impressive selection of works by Christo, featuring pieces from projects such as the Wrapped Reichstag, The Gates (Project for Central Park), Running Fence and The Mastaba. Accompanying the above works are high-quality paintings by Victor Vasarely, as well as a range of pieces by celebrated masters such as Renoir, Degas, Matisse, Picasso, and Kusama - to name only a few.
