The Galerie Berès, located on the Rive Gauche facing the south-west wing of the Louvre, was founded by Huguette Berès in 1952 and is now run by Anisabelle Berès, her daughter, and her granddaughter, Florence Montanari. The gallery focuses on avant-garde movements in France from the 19th to the 20th century, including Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism and Abstract art, and also on contemporary art. The Galerie Berès participates regularly in the Paris Biennale, the Salon du Dessin, Art Elysées and Art & Design in Paris, TEFAF Maastricht and BRAFA in Brussels.
