Founded in Athens in 1977, the BERNIER/ELIADES Gallery has always been at the forefront of contemporary art in Greece. Jean Bernier and Marina Eliades have introduced a number of artistic movements such as Arte Povera, Minimalism, Land Art and Conceptual Art to the Greek public, also focusing on young American and European artists. In addition to their gallery in Athens, they opened a new space in Brussels in April 2016. The gallery is located in the Chatelain district. There they organize shows by artists such as Giovanni Anselmo, Mario Airò, Louisa Clement, Elliott Hundley, Christiane Lohr, Valérie Mannaerts, Nikos Navridis, Giancarlo Scaglia, Kostas Sahpazis and Liang Wei. During BRAFA 2020, the BERNIER/ELIADES Gallery will be showing drawings and video works by Robert Wilson in their space in Brussels. The gallery also participates in important national and international art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Brussels and Brafa, inter alia.

BRAFA 2019: Coup de Coeur by Robert Wilson
At the BRAFA Art Fair 2019, theater director and playwright Robert Wilson was intrigued by Giancarlo Scaglia's 'Golden Aérea', presented by Bernier/Eliades Gallery. Here, Wilson shares his thoughts on why the Peruvian mixed media on Japanese paper appeals to him and how the artwork and the mixed, counterpoint set-up of the art fair perfectly links to his own world of directing.
