For this new edition, we have brought together watercolours by Jean Paul Riopelle, representative of the artist's characteristic gestural freedom and luminous poetry. A Vasarely from 1972, a vibrant tribute to optical rigour and the kinetic power of colour. A Catamuron by Simon Hantaï, a major work in which the canvas becomes the site of a revelation between the randomness of folding and mastery of colour, as well as a canvas by Serge Poliakoff, a skilful composition of reds and blues executed in 1969.

De galerie Alexis Lartigue, opgericht in 2005, legt zich al twee decennia toe op de promotie van belangrijke figuren uit de avant-gardistische kunst van de 20ste eeuw, waaronder Pierre Soulages, Alexander Calder, Zao Wou-Ki, Serge Poliakoff, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Hans Hartung, Simon Hantaï... De galerie, gelegen aan de Avenue Matignon 32, is gespecialiseerd in de grote meesters van de abstractie, of die nu geometrisch, lyrisch of vrij zijn. De galerie staat bekend om haar toewijding aan het presenteren van werken van hoge kwaliteit en neemt regelmatig deel aan prestigieuze internationale beurzen zoals BRAFA, Art Paris en TEFAF Maastricht.
