As summer unfolds, Axel Vervoordt Gallery is pleased to invite you to discover its programme before annual summer closure.
Axel Vervoordt Gallery will be open until Saturday, 18 July. The galleries at Kanaal will reopen on Friday, 7 August. Axel Vervoordt Gallery Hong Kong will reopen on Tuesday, August 4.
Several exhibitions are currently on view, bringing together solo and group presentations that explore material memory, transformation, gesture, and presence.

The exhibition reflects on the traces of human presence through space, form, and material, and features artworks by Ida Barbarigo, William Turnbull, El Anatsui, Sadaharu Horio, and Bosco Sodi.
Threads of Being: Textiles, Time and Transformation
Until September 19, 2026
Kanaal
Bringing together eight artists, this exhibition considers textile-related logics, threading, layering, stitching, and interlacing, as frameworks through which time, memory, and presence are articulated.

Seit den späten 1960er Jahren baute Axel Vervoordt sein großes Ansehen als Antiquitätenhändler und Kunstkenner auf. Das Familienunternehmen hat sich zu einer internationalen Firma entwickelt, die mit Kunst und Antiquitäten, Interior Design und einer persönlichen ‘Home Collection’ handelt. Den Kern und Antrieb des Unternehmens bildet die kompromisslose Suche nach Qualität, Schönheit und Harmonie. Auf dem Industriegelände ‘Kanaal’ wird eine einzigartige und vielfältige Sammlung von archäologischen Objekten, orientalischen Skulpturen, Möbeln des 18. Jh., Design des 20. Jh. sowie ZERO und Gutai-Kunst präsentiert. Alle Objekte teilen ungeachtet ihrer Herkunft und ihres Werts eine zeitlose, universelle Schönheit und intrinsische Klarheit. Die Axel Vervoordt Gallery, unter der Leitung von Boris Vervoordt, bietet etablierten und jungen Künstlern eine Plattform für die Präsentation ihrer Werke auf internationalem Level. Die Galerie repräsentiert Künstler, die eine Leidenschaft für das Konzept der Leere haben und auf kreative Weise die Bedeutung des Universums erkunden.
