As summer unfolds, Axel Vervoordt Gallery is pleased to invite you to discover its programme before annual summer closure.
Axel Vervoordt Gallery will be open until Saturday, 18 July. The galleries at Kanaal will reopen on Friday, 7 August. Axel Vervoordt Gallery Hong Kong will reopen on Tuesday, August 4.
Several exhibitions are currently on view, bringing together solo and group presentations that explore material memory, transformation, gesture, and presence.

Human Traces: Presence, Absence, and Material Memory

The exhibition reflects on the traces of human presence through space, form, and material, and features artworks by Ida Barbarigo, William Turnbull, El Anatsui, Sadaharu Horio, and Bosco Sodi.
Threads of Being: Textiles, Time and Transformation
Until September 19, 2026
Kanaal
Bringing together eight artists, this exhibition considers textile-related logics, threading, layering, stitching, and interlacing, as frameworks through which time, memory, and presence are articulated.

Depuis les années 1960, Axel Vervoordt s’est forgé une grande réputation en tant qu'antiquaire et fin connaisseur d’art. Cette entreprise familiale s’est développée pour devenir une compagnie internationale spécialisée dans l’art, les antiquités, la décoration d’intérieur et proposant sa propre collection de produits maison. Elle ne fait aucun compromis dans sa recherche sur la qualité, la beauté et l’harmonie. Sur le site industriel ‘Kanaal’ près d’Anvers est exposée une collection unique et très variée mêlant objets archéologiques, sculptures orientales, mobilier du XVIIIe siècle, design du XXe siècle, ainsi que des œuvres d’art des mouvements Zero et Gutai. Tous les objets, quelle que soit leur valeur ou leur origine, dégagent une beauté intemporelle, universelle ainsi qu’une pureté intrinsèque qui leur confère une signification éternelle. La Axel Vervoordt Gallery, dirigée par Boris Vervoordt, offre aux artistes - jeunes comme confirmés - une plateforme où ils peuvent présenter leurs œuvres à un niveau international. Elle représente les artistes passionnés par le concept du vide et entièrement dévoués au processus créatif d’exploration du sens de l’univers.
