Arte-Fact Fine Art at BRAFA 2026 - Forgotten Stories – A Tribute to Connections
Forgotten Stories takes visitors on a journey across Europe: from the glory of the Dutch Golden Age, through Antwerp’s artistic brilliance and Brussels’
courtly splendour, to the creative exchanges with Spain and Italy. A special thread in the presentation honours female voices, highlighting them not as marginal figures but as essential strands in the tapestry of artistic creation.
“Old Master paintings hold a magic beyond their beauty; they whisper forgotten stories and timeless inspirations. For the visitors of BRAFA, we hope to create a bridge across time, connecting them to the artists and stories of centuries past,” says gallery founder Claudia Walendy.

BRAFA Art Fair is delighted to spotlight Arte-Fact Fine Art, a new exhibitor whose expertise and scholarship bring fresh depth to the world of Old Master paintings.
Specialised in works from the 16th to the 18th century, Arte-Fact Fine Art combines connoisseurship with rigorous research, guiding collectors through the interconnected histories of artists, patrons, courts, and cultures. Their approach embraces not only the market but the full ecosystem of attribution, provenance, conservation, and interdisciplinary study.
For BRAFA 2026, the gallery presents Forgotten Stories — a compelling journey across Europe’s artistic centres - from the glory of the Dutch Golden Age, through the artistic flourishing of Antwerp and the court of Brussels, to the creative exchanges with Spain and Italy.
A special focus is dedicated to female voices in art history — as essential contributors whose impact continues to resonate.

Arte-Fact Fine Art widmet sich den Gemälden der Alten Meister vom 16. bis zum 18. Jahrhundert. Durch die Verbindung von Fachwissen im Kunstmarkt und einem tiefen Engagement für Forschung bietet die Galerie Sammlern fundierte Beratung sowie einen multidisziplinären Ansatz für Erwerb, Studium und Konservierung. Durch umfassende archivarische, kunsthistorische, technische und ikonographische Recherchen wird jedes Gemälde sorgfältig in Zusammenarbeit mit Restauratoren, Wissenschaftlern und Fachgelehrten untersucht. Dieser forschungsorientierte Prozess zielt nicht nur darauf ab, die Schönheit und Integrität eines Kunstwerks zu bewahren, sondern auch die Schichten von Bedeutung, Kontext und Verbindung offenzulegen, die seinen Platz in der Geschichte erkennen lassen; einer der Grundpfeiler der Galerie. Seit ihrer Gründung hat Arte-Fact Fine Art mehr als 500 Werke vermittelt, von denen auch einige in bedeutende Museumssammlungen aufgenommen wurden. Die Galerie fühlt sich zutiefst verpflichtet, die Schönheit und die Geschichten der Gemälde der Alten Meister zu vermitteln.
