For this new edition, we have brought together watercolours by Jean Paul Riopelle, representative of the artist's characteristic gestural freedom and luminous poetry. A Vasarely from 1972, a vibrant tribute to optical rigour and the kinetic power of colour. A Catamuron by Simon Hantaï, a major work in which the canvas becomes the site of a revelation between the randomness of folding and mastery of colour, as well as a canvas by Serge Poliakoff, a skilful composition of reds and blues executed in 1969.

Die 2005 gegründete Galerie Alexis Lartigue widmet sich seit zwei Jahrzehnten der Präsentation der wichtigsten Vertreter der Avantgarde-Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts. Dazu zählen Pierre Soulages, Alexander Calder, Zao Wou-Ki, Serge Poliakoff, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Hans Hartung, Simon Hantaï und viele andere. Die Galerie in der Avenue Matignon 32 in Paris hat sich auf die großen Meister der Abstraktion spezialisiert, darunter geometrische, lyrische und frei geformte Stile. Sie ist für ihren engagierten Einsatz bei der Präsentation hochwertiger Werke bekannt und nimmt regelmäßig an renommierten internationalen Messen wie der BRAFA, der Art Paris und der TEFAF Maastricht teil.
