KBF Art Talk at 2 pm on the stand of the King Baudouin Foundation n°151
Language of the talk: Dutch

Flemish painter Willem Key worked for the most prominent patrons and was deeply embedded in the heart of Antwerp’s sixteenth-century art scene. His portraits and history paintings reveal superb technical mastery and keen psychological insight. On the occasion of the King Baudouin Foundation’s acquisition of one of his masterpieces, visitors are invited to take a closer look at this great yet little-known artist and to delve into his oeuvre and the turbulent times in which he lived and worked.
