Since 1945, Galerie Maeght has presented works by the greatest modern artists such as Matisse, Bonnard, Braque, Miró, and Calder. In 1956, they opened a new Parisian venue at the 42 rue du Bac, focusing on the second generation of ‘Maeght’ artists which included Bazaine, Derain, Giacometti, Kelly, Ubac, Riopelle, Tàpies, Bury and Adami. Today, Isabelle Maeght, the gallery director, perpetuates the family tradition, showcasing contemporary artists such as Nicolas Alquin, Eduardo Arroyo, Marco Del Re, Olivier Gagnère and Ra’anan Levy. In 1964 Adrien Maeght created ARTE, the Maeght print studio, a place where artists and craftsmen continue to share their passion for the printing process today.
