Artist winning a gold medal for Boucheron at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900 , Becker can be considered as one of the most important goldsmiths of Art Nouveau. His pieces combining silver and ivory are exceedingly rare. Our casket and a clock belonging to the Boucheron collections are among the iconic pieces of French Art Nouveau. The “Société Parisienne d’Orfevrerie” was a subsidiary of the Boucheron company.
