Miriam di Penta Fine Arts was founded by Dr. Di Penta, art historian, Ph.D. Dr. Di Penta, previously a Sotheby's consultant, is a scholar in the Italian Baroque, a subject she has dealt with in two books and a number of important publications (see Kubikat.org). She has lectured regularly at the Courtauld Institute of Arts in London as well as at La Sapienza, Universities of Ferrara and Turin and the Fondazione Longhi in Florence. Dr. Di Penta has already taken part in Tefaf (Main section, 2015-2018) as co-owner of GOMP. At present she is dealing in Italian Old Master paintings and drawings, and a selection of fine arts objects, based in the original premises at Via Monserrato 34 in Rome. Dr. Di Penta is one of the very few women dealing in the Old Masters internationally and this is even more notable when you consider that she doesn't come from a dealing background. The gallery is based on her knowledge, determination, stamina and passion and her profile of scholar-dealer guarantees that the quality of the art offered is always painstakingly curated and selected. Nestled in the secret garden of Palazzo Capponi-Antonelli in the heart of Rome's Renaissance neighborhood of Piazza Farnese, the Gallery offers museum-quality Italian Old Master Paintings and Works of Art selected for their historical significance, wall-power and prime conditions.
