Thanks to the Raphaël and Françoise Haeven Fund, the King Baudouin Foundation recently acquired an Art Deco-style carpet created by Elisabeth De Saedeleer (1902-1972). This lecture will explore the life and work of this artist who, inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, played a key role in the revival of carpet weaving in Belgium during the 1920s and 1930s - through her artistic collaborations and her position as a member of the teaching staff at La Cambre, starting from the school’s opening in 1927.

Join us at the stand of the King Baudouin Foundation n° 151
