Opening of a new 20th century design gallery in Paris

The Belgium-based design gallery Gokelaere & Robinson announces the opening of its third exhibition space and its first gallery in Paris, in the 8th arrondissement.

The gallery is located 34 rue de Penthièvre, in the Matignon district, the new art center of the French capital. It will benefit from the immediate vicinity of major international galleries, auction houses, and museums including "Le Louvre" and "Musée des Arts Décoratifs".

Gokelaere & Robinson is an international gallery dedicated to the promotion of the great designers and architects of the 20th century. Born from the passion for design of Stanislas Gokelaere and Céline Robinson, their eponymous gallery maintains permanent exhibition spaces in Belgium (Brussels and Knokke).

Gokelaere & Robinson has been participating to several major art fairs worldwide, such as BRAFA (Brussels Art Fair), DesignMiami/ Basel, and TEFAF Maastricht staging refined craftsmanship and timeless creations.

Gokelaere & Robinson / Paris will focus on curated exhibitions of historical 20th century design, mainly Scandinavian, American, French, Brazilian and Italian designers from 1940’s to 1980’s.

The opening exhibition of the gallery will display exceptional pieces of furniture from iconic designers such as Paavo Tynell, Hans J. Wegner, Jose Zanine Caldas, Jorge Zalszupin, Carlo Hauner, Ado Chale and Charlotte Perriand, among others.
