Among the works that Xavier Eeckhout will present at Brafa 2022, three in particular stand out: the greyhound by Gustave Etienne Le Bourgeois, which belonged to a great Monegasque socialite of the 1950s, Mireille Gremillon-Challet, known under the pseudonym Dea Deriva; the bear by Belgian artist Thierry Van Ryswyck is a rediscovery, unknown to the market; and finally, the crocodile by Sirio Tofanari is a very beautiful variant of a public commission of 1926.

ABOUT
Seit 2000 in Paris angesiedelt eröffnete Xavier Eeckhout im Jahr 2006 seine Galerie gegenüber dem Auktionshaus Drouot. Bekannt für seinen originellen Antiquitätengeschmack, ist Eeckhout auf Tierplastiken aus der Zeit von 1880 bis 1950 spezialisiert und fungiert häufig als Experte für Auktionshäuser. 2018 eröffnete er seine zweite Galerie in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
