Flemish painter Willem Key worked for some of the most prominent patrons of his time and was deeply embedded in the heart of Antwerp’s sixteenth-century art scene. His portraits and history paintings reveal superb technical mastery and keen psychological insight. On the occasion of the King Baudouin Foundation’s acquisition of one of his masterpieces, visitors are invited to take a closer look at this remarkable yet little-known artist, and to delve into his oeuvre as well as the turbulent times in which he lived and worked.

Join us on the stand of the King Baudouin Foundation n°151
