Opening Saturday, September 13, 2025 @ Kanaal, Belgium (till November 15, 2025)
Axel Vervoordt Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Jaromír Novotný, whose refined visual language explores the boundaries of perception through subtle interventions in material, light, and transparency. Jaromír Novotný is a restless searcher with a never-ending quest to explore the possibilities and limits of painting. We are also delighted to announce the opening of an exhibition dedicated to Raimund Girke, presenting a focused selection of his refined works on paper that highlight his subtle exploration of light, rhythm, and materiality. Raimund Girke lived and worked in Cologne and Berlin until he passed away in 2002. He was an artist who was at the forefront of Analytical Painting. He participated in the 1977 edition of Documenta VI in Kassel, Germany, and is widely known for his investigations of the colour white.
