Founded by Philippe Bismuth and Vincent Amiaux on the Rive Droite in Paris in 1998, the Galerie des Modernes began by specializing in French master paintings dating from 1910–1940, before enlarging their range to incorporate the whole of the 20th century. Located in the Carré Rive Gauche since 2012, the gallery opened a new 100 m² split-level space 13 rue des Saint-Pères in the 6th arrondissement in 2016. Here, they present carefully selected paintings, drawings and sculptures by artists connected with the greatest modern art movements. A member of the French Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) and the Parisian Carré Rive Gauche Association, the gallery will participate this year in Paris in the ‘Salon du Dessin’ and in ‘Art-Elysées’.
