Since 1945, Galerie Maeght has presented works by the greatest modern artists such as Matisse, Bonnard, Braque, Miró, and Calder. In 1956, Adrien Maeght opened a new Parisian venue, focusing on the second generation of ‘Maeght’ artists which included Bazaine, Derain, Giacometti, Kelly, Ubac, Riopelle, Tàpies, Bury and Adami. Today, Isabelle Maeght, the gallery director, perpetuates the family tradition, showcasing contemporary artists such as Nicolas Alquin, Eduardo Arroyo, Marco Del Re, Olivier Gagnère, Ra’anan Levy and Zio Ziegler. In 1964 Adrien Maeght created ARTE, the Maeght print studio, a place where artists and craftsmen continue to share their passion for the printing process today.
