This year at BRAFA, Galerie Le Beau is presenting a selection of historical works by master designers such as Americans George Nakashima and Wendell Castle, Brazilian Jorge Zalszupin and the Israeli free-spirit Ron Arad. The gallery is dedicated to the promotion of the great designers of the 20th century, and their careful selection includes rare works that combine refined craftsmanship and timeless style by Scandinavian, American, French, Brazilian and Italian designers. Combining the passion of a French 20th century design collector and the searching eye of an art historian, the gallery is founded on knowledge, experience and perfectionism. It opened in 2014 in a historic house on the Place du Sablon, the main art square in Brussels, focusing on furniture and lighting by designers active between 1940 and 1970. Each exhibition is curated with the emphasis on quality and rarity. The gallery’s objective is to create a dialogue between furniture, lighting and art.
